Senior Instruction Weekends ( 24/25 July and 7/8 August 2021)

This year there will be three classes:-

• First time Topper sailors
• Experienced Toppers
• Lasers, which will include races for the Laser Points Tiller.

In view of the nature of dinghy sailing at Needs Ore, if you are joining this week for the first time, you must be competent at sailing a boat on your own, have your blue pennant (or equivalent RYA certificate) and be at least 12 years old. You must have your own boat, or borrow one for the week. If you are a Laser sailor you use a 4.7 or radial rig. All boats should be ready, complete at Needs Ore before the event, please check for all equipment not just the boat (rudders sails spars etc). It is best to rig your boat in the garden before you bring it down to Needs Ore.

All boats must have a name on the hull and a number on the sail.

The starting time is 9.30 bring a picnic lunch. Further details will be emailed closer to the event. You must bring sailing shoes or wetsuit boots, life jacket and a change of dry clothes. We recommend you bring a wetsuit. Parents will be needed to help with rescue boat/shore duties and I would be grateful if volunteers could contact June or

It is Club policy to insist that all boats carry third party insurance. If you do not already have insurance, please refer to Noble Marine. You will also have received forms by email which must be returned to June before 15th June along with a cheque/bank transferto secure your place.
