In support of the RNLI in their 200th anniversary year, the BRSC is holding a fundraising event on Saturday 10th August in the form of a Pimm’s ‘Point to Point’. The fleet will sail, row or motor (small craft only) from Needs Ore to four different private pontoons where a variety of refreshments will be on offer! Please note that there is no vehicle access to any of the ‘points’. Upon return to Needs Ore, in exchange for a donation to the RNLI, hot dogs & a glass of Pimm’s will be provided by the club – but please also bring your own picnic & drinks to avoid disappointment! The RNLI is there to save lives at sea and their message is to prevent accidents on the water in the first place. The Club endorses this message and hopes to raise some much needed funds from our participants and the wider membership whether you can be there on the day or not. We are extremely lucky to have 5 lifeboat stations in our Solent area, so do please support generously! You can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/beaulieu-river-sailing-club-point-to-point-2024 or by credit card on the day. Lifejackets must be worn at all times on the water along with the usual safety requirements of any craft to be used. A briefing will be given at 15.15hrs at Needs Ore before the ‘off’… We are hugely grateful to our ‘point’ hosts in advance: Gilles and Ines Graham, Keith and Maureen Mills, Carol and John Hackman and Ken and Jo Robinson.
